We believe the best homes aren’t defined by what they cost or what’s on trend. They’re the ones that truly reflect the people who live in them.
Kristin and Jen were friends long before they became business partners, connected by a shared appreciation for beautiful spaces, thoughtful materials, and the way a room can make you feel. Over time, those conversations became something more. Studio West grew from that shared perspective and from two women with decades of experience trusting their instincts enough to build something of their own.
Two designers. One point of view. From the first idea to the final layer, our clients work directly with both of us.
Kristin Beck
Kristin spent years in the corporate world developing the kind of precision and clarity that most creatives never acquire. She is also a collector — someone who has spent years developing a deeply considered aesthetic through art, and who understands instinctively how a single piece can set the tone for everything around it. She brings both to every project. For as long as she can remember, people have walked into her home and wanted to know exactly how she did it. She finally decided to make that the work.
Kristin is based in Colorado.
Jen Gould
Jen spent twenty years as a military spouse — which means twenty years of turning unfamiliar houses into homes, often quickly and always resourcefully. Along the way she built a successful corporate career, designed lighting for interiors, sourced rugs, and ran a boutique filled with furniture and objects she genuinely loved. All of it, in its own way, was design training. Studio West is where it finally has a name.
Jen is based in Colorado.
How we work
We design across the West — Colorado, the high desert, the coast, and beyond. Our aesthetic resists easy categorization: organic materials, traditional bones, and a layered western sensibility, always on-trend, never forced.
Every project is handled personally by both of us. We don’t hand you off. We don’t disappear after the mood board. We stay in it until the last pillow is placed and the light is exactly right.
